Megan, perhaps look at the outdoor classroom day website for inspiration as they have loads of free resources and case studies on there which I totally forgot to say. Also, leaf education, nature detectives, countryside classrooms, Learning through landscapes, rhs and the fruit show for starters. Sometimes though there can just be too many suggestions of activities and too many ideas. Perhaps just take your Year 3 outside with adequate clothing & a snack/water etc & go see what they find or want to do. Your must have equipment just really needs to be clothing for the weather, water & a first aid kit. Sometimes having no other equipment allows for closer observation & more creativeness. I hope you enjoy your outdoor classroom day on Thursday.
