Radio script by Bethany (10)

Good morning, it’s Bethany here at Wild Radio. Coming up, I have a round-up of the nature news from Higgin-bottom Village, sent in by 13-year-old listener Anna Samson,

A pair of red kites has been spotted soaring over Higgin-bottom Village. Local residents speculate that they have built a nest. Although that theory is yet to be proved, there has been a lot of activity around one tree in particular. Several bird enthusiasts are monitoring the situation closely – we’ll return to this story if there are any further developments!

In other news, it has been revealed that the theme for this month’s flower display is the Battle of Britain. A spitfire will be crafted from flowers by this year’s display volunteers. Suggestions for the Summer Display are welcome; simply send them in to the chief volunteer, Ivy Gardner.

Remember, you can send in your village nature news to me at wildnatureradiolive.com and you could be on the show. That’s wildnatureradiolive.com.  Tune in tomorrow at 9.45 for another live broadcast. Goodbye for now.
